Specificity
The antibody is a mouse monoclonal antibody raised against NCCT. It has been selected for its ability to recognize NCCT in immunohistochemical staining and western blotting.
Purity/Purification
Antigen-specific affinity chromatography followed by Protein A affinity chromatography
Concentration
500ug/ml (lot specific)
Preparation and Storage
Store at 4 degree C for frequent use. Aliquot and store at -20 degree C for 12 months.
Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles.
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37 degree C for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate is less than 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
ISO Certification
Manufactured in an ISO 9001:2008 and ISO 13485:2003 Certified Laboratory.
Supply Chain Verification
Manufactured in a lab with traceable raw materials. Bulk orders can typically be prepared to the customera??s specifications, please inquire.
Other Notes
Small volumes of anti-NCCT antibody vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.
Applications Tested/Suitable for anti-NCCT antibody
Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC), Immunocytochemistry (ICC), Immunoprecipitation (IP)

NCBI Summary for NCCT
This gene encodes a renal thiazide-sensitive sodium-chloride cotransporter that is important for electrolyte homeostasis. This cotransporter mediates sodium and chloride reabsorption in the distal convoluted tubule. Mutations in this gene cause Gitelman syndrome, a disease similar to Bartter's syndrome, that is characterized by hypokalemic alkalosis combined with hypomagnesemia, low urinary calcium, and increased renin activity associated with normal blood pressure. This cotransporter is the target for thiazide diuretics that are used for treating high blood pressure. Multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene. UniProt Comments for NCCT
NCCT: Key mediator of sodium and chloride reabsorption in this nephron segment, accounting for a significant fraction of renal sodium reabsorption. Interacts with KLHL3. Predominant in kidney. Activated by WNK3. Belongs to the SLC12A transporter family. 3 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

1. A in the SLC12A3 gene that may affect thyroid function. However, further studies are needed to explore the underlying molecular mechanisms.">Two mutation sites were documented in the pedigree with Gitelman Syndrome, and one has not been reported before. Moreover, we found a mutation at nucleotide c.1456 G>A in the SLC12A3 gene that may affect thyroid function. However, further studies are needed to explore the underlying molecular mechanisms.
