Product Note
Select online data sheet information is drawn from bioinformatics databases, occasionally resulting in ambiguous or non-relevant product information. It is the responsibility of the customer to review, verify, and evaluate the information to make sure it matches their requirements before purchasing the kit. Our ELISA Kit assays are dynamic research tools and sometimes they may be updated and improved. If the format of this assay is important to you then please request the current manual or contact our technical support team with a presales inquiry before placing an order. We will confirm the current details of the assay. We cannot guarantee the sample manual posted online is the most current manual.
Other Notes
Small volumes of CMLC-1 elisa kit vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.

MBS160899 is a ready-to-use microwell, strip plate ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay) Kit for analyzing the presence of the Cardiac myosin-light chains 1, CMLC-1, ELISA Kit target analytes in
biological samples. The concentration gradients of the kit standards or positive controls render a theoretical kit detection range in biological research samples containing CMLC-1. The ELISA analytical biochemical technique of the MBS160899 kit is based on CMLC-1 antibody-CMLC-1 antigen interactions (immunosorbency) and an HRP colorimetric detection system to detect CMLC-1 antigen targets in samples. The ELISA Kit is designed to detect native, not recombinant, CMLC-1. Appropriate sample types may include undiluted body fluids and/or tissue homogenates, secretions. Quality control assays assessing reproducibility identified the intra-assay CV (%) and inter-assay CV(%).

CMLC-1 elisa kit
Intended Uses: This sandwich kit is for the accurate quantitative detection of human Cardiac Myosin-light Chains 1 (also known as CMLC-1) in serum, plasma, cell culture supernates, cell lysates, tissue homogenates.
Principles of the Assay: This kit is an Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA). The plate has been pre-coated with human CMLC-1 antibody. CMLC-1 present in the sample is added and binds to antibodies coated on the wells. And then biotinylated human CMLC-1
Antibody is added and binds to CMLC-1 in the sample. Then Streptavidin-HRP is added and binds to the Biotinylated CMLC-1 antibody. After incubation unbound Streptavidin-HRP is washed away during a washing step. Substrate solution is then added and color develops in proportion to the amount of human CMLC-1. The reaction is terminated by addition of acidic stop solution and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.

NCBI Summary for CMLC-1
MYL3 encodes myosin light chain 3, an alkali light chain also referred to in the literature as both the ventricular isoform and the slow skeletal muscle isoform. Mutations in MYL3 have been identified as a cause of mid-left ventricular chamber type hypertrophic cardiomyopathy. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
UniProt Comments for CMLC-1
Regulatory light chain of myosin. Does not bind calcium.
Research Articles on CMLC-1
1. In Familial Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy, the MYL3 Arg94His variant was associated with high disease penetrance and substantial interventricular septal hypertrophy
