Product Note
Select online data sheet information is drawn from bioinformatics databases, occasionally resulting in ambiguous or non-relevant product information. It is the responsibility of the customer to review, verify, and evaluate the information to make sure it matches their requirements before purchasing the kit. Our ELISA Kit assays are dynamic research tools and sometimes they may be updated and improved. If the format of this assay is important to you then please request the current manual or contact our technical support team with a presales inquiry before placing an order. We will confirm the current details of the assay. We cannot guarantee the sample manual posted online is the most current manual.
Other Notes
Small volumes of POLH elisa kit vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.

MBS9317549 is a ready-to-use microwell, strip plate ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay) Kit for analyzing the presence of the polymerase (DNA directed), eta (POLH) ELISA Kit target analytes in
biological samples. The concentration gradients of the kit standards or positive controls render a theoretical kit detection range in biological research samples containing POLH. The ELISA analytical biochemical technique of the MBS9317549 kit is based on POLH antibody-POLH antigen interactions (immunosorbency) and an HRP colorimetric detection system to detect POLH antigen targets in samples. The ELISA Kit is designed to detect native, not recombinant, POLH. Appropriate sample types may include undiluted body fluids and/or tissue homogenates, secretions. Quality control assays assessing reproducibility identified the intra-assay CV (%) and inter-assay CV(%).

UniProt Comments for POLH
POLH: DNA polymerase specifically involved in DNA repair. Plays an important role in translesion synthesis, where the normal high fidelity DNA polymerases cannot proceed and DNA synthesis stalls. Plays an important role in the repair of UV-induced pyrimidine dimers. Depending on the context, it inserts the correct base, but causes frequent base transitions and transversions. May play a role in hypermutation at immunoglobulin genes. Forms a Schiff base with 5'-deoxyribose phosphate at abasic sites, but does not have lyase activity. Targets POLI to replication foci. Interacts with REV1. Interacts with monoubiquitinated PCNA, but not unmodified PCNA. Interacts with POLI. Belongs to the DNA polymerase type-Y family. 2 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.
Protein type: DNA repair, damage; Transferase; EC 2.7.7.7
Cellular Component: nucleoplasm; cytoplasm; nucleus
Molecular Function: transferase activity; DNA binding; metal ion binding; damaged DNA binding; DNA-directed DNA polymerase activity; nucleotidyltransferase activity
Biological Process: DNA synthesis during DNA repair; postreplication repair; pyrimidine dimer repair; DNA repair; DNA replication; response to DNA damage stimulus; response to UV-C
Research Articles on POLH
1. POLH deficiency did not affect the frequency and patterns of C:G mutations and UNG POLH double deficiency showed an additive effect of single deficiency.
