Source Note
This monoclonal antibody is produced by immunizing mice with a sythetic peptide(KLH coupled)corresponding to amino-terminal residues of human MAN1
Preparation and Storage
Store at -20 degree C. Stable for one year from the date of shipment.
Other Notes
Small volumes of anti-MAN1 antibody vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.
Related Product Information for
anti-MAN1 antibody
This locus encodes a LEM domain-containing protein. The encoded protein functions to antagonize transforming growth factor-beta signaling at the inner nuclear membrane. Two transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene. Mutations in this gene have been associated with osteopoikilosis, Buschke-Ollendorff syndrome and melorheostosis.

Western Blot (WB) of anti-MAN1 antibody
Immunoprecipitation (IP) of anti-MAN1 antibody
MAN1 was immunoprecipitated from 1mg of Jurkat cells membrane fraction, blotted with M25114 of 10 ug. Western blot was performed from the immunopre-cipitate using M25114 at 1/1000 dilution. Anti-Mouse-IgG(HRP), specific to the non-reduced form of IgG, was used as secondary antibody at 1/10000 dilution. Lane 1: Jurkat cells membrane fraction. Lane2: IP product of Jurkat cells membrane fraction.
Predicted band size : 100 KDa
Observed band size : 100 KDa
Blocking and dilution buffer and concentration:5% milk/TBST.

Flow Cytometry (FC/FACS) of anti-MAN1 antibody
Flow cytometric analysis of 2% paraformaldehyde-fixed Jurkat (Human T cell leukemia cells from peripheral blood) cells labeling MAN1 with M25114 at 1/200 dilution (red) compared with a mouse monoclonal IgG isotype control (black) and an unlabelled control (cells without incubation with primary antibody, blue). Goat anti-mouse IgG (FITC) at 1/300 dilution was used as the secondary antibody.

NCBI Summary for MAN1
This locus encodes a LEM domain-containing protein. The encoded protein functions to antagonize transforming growth factor-beta signaling at the inner nuclear membrane. Two transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene. Mutations in this gene have been associated with osteopoikilosis, Buschke-Ollendorff syndrome and melorheostosis.[provided by RefSeq, Nov 2009]
UniProt Comments for MAN1
Can function as a specific repressor of TGF-beta, activin, and BMP signaling through its interaction with the R-SMAD proteins. Antagonizes TGF-beta-induced cell proliferation arrest.
Research Articles on MAN1
1. studies demonstrated that lower levels of MAN1 in differentiating MSC are associated with higher osteogenesis and lower adipogenesis. High levels of MAN1 only affected adipogenesis.
