anti-FGF3 antibody
Function: Plays an important role in the regulation of embryonic development, cell proliferation, and cell differentiation. Required for normal ear development.
Subunit Structure: Interacts with FGFR1 and FGFR2. Affinity between fibroblast growth factors (FGFs) and their receptors is increased by heparan sulfate glycosaminoglycans that function as coreceptors.
Similarity: Belongs to the heparin-binding growth factors family.
Applications Tested/Suitable for anti-FGF3 antibody
Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC), ELISA (EIA)
Application Notes for anti-FGF3 antibody
WB: 1:1000-3000
IHC: 1:200
Immunohistochemistry (IHC) of anti-FGF3 antibody
MBS9608338 at 1/100 staining Human pancreas tissue by IHC-P. The sample was formaldehyde fixed and a heat mediated antigen retrieval step in citrate buffer was performed. The sample was then blocked and incubated with the antibody for 1.5 hours at 22 degree C. An HRP conjugated goat anti-rabbit antibody was used as the secondary.

NCBI Summary for FGF3
The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the fibroblast growth factor (FGF) family. FGF family members possess broad mitogenic and cell survival activities and are involved in a variety of
biological processes including embryonic development, cell growth, morphogenesis, tissue repair, tumor growth and invasion. This gene was identified by its similarity with mouse fgf3/int-2, a proto-oncogene activated in virally induced mammary tumors in the mouse. Frequent amplification of this gene has been found in human tumors, which may be important for neoplastic transformation and tumor progression. Studies of the similar genes in mouse and chicken suggested the role in inner ear formation. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
UniProt Comments for FGF3
