If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.
Related Product Information for
Foxe3 recombinant protein
This intronless gene belongs to the forkhead family of transcription factors, which is characterized by a distinct forkhead domain. The protein encoded functions as a lens-specific transcription factor and plays an important role in vertebrate lens formation. Mutations in this gene are associated with anterior segment mesenchymal dysgenesis and congenital primary aphakia.

UniProt Comments for Foxe3
Transcription factor that controls lens epithelial cell growth through regulation of proliferation, apoptosis and cell cycle (PubMed:10652278, PubMed:10890982). During lens development, controls the ratio of the lens fiber cells to the cells of the anterior lens epithelium by regulating the rate of proliferation and differentiation (PubMed:16199865). Controls lens vesicle closure and subsequent separation of the lens vesicle from ectoderm (PubMed:10652278). Is required for morphogenesis and differentiation of the anterior segment of the eye (PubMed:17064680). Controls the expression of DNAJB1 in a pathway that is crucial for the development of the anterior segment of the eye ().
Research Articles on Foxe3
1. These results clearly show that the development of early-onset cataracts requires at least two mutant alleles of Foxe3(rct) and Pde6b(rd1), and another modifier associated with the severity of cataract phenotypes in Foxe3(rct) mice underlies the genetic backgrounds in mice.
