MBS703084 is a ready-to-use microwell, strip plate ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay) Kit for analyzing the presence of the anti-thrombopoietin receptor (C-MPL) autoantibody IgG (THPO) ELISA Kit target analytes in biological samples. The concentration gradients of the kit standards or positive controls render a theoretical kit detection range in biological research samples containing THPO. The ELISA analytical biochemical technique of the MBS703084 kit is based on THPO antibody-THPO antigen interactions (immunosorbency) and an HRP colorimetric detection system to detect THPO antigen targets in samples. The ELISA Kit is designed to detect native, not recombinant, THPO. Appropriate sample types may include undiluted body fluids and/or tissue homogenates, secretions. Quality control assays assessing reproducibility identified the intra-assay CV (%) and inter-assay CV(%).

Principle of the Assay: This assay employs the qualitative enzyme immunoassay technique. The microtiter plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with antigen. Samples are pipetted into the wells with anti-human IgG conjugated Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP). Any antibodies specific for the antigen present will bind to the pre-coated antigen. Following a wash to remove any unbound reagent, a substrate solution is added to the wells and color develops in proportion to the amount of human C-MPL autoantibody IgG bound in the initial step. The color development is stopped and the intensity of the color is measured.

Multiple AUG codons upstream of the main open reading frame (ORF) have been identified, and these upstream AUGs inhibit translation of the main ORF at different extent.
