The ELISA analytical biochemical technique of the MBS164046 kit is based on FGF3 antibody-FGF3 antigen interactions (immunosorbency) and an HRP colorimetric detection system to detect FGF3 antigen targets in samples. The ELISA Kit is designed to detect native, not recombinant, FGF3. Appropriate sample types may include undiluted body fluids and/or tissue homogenates, secretions. Quality control assays assessing reproducibility identified the intra-assay CV (%) and inter-assay CV(%).

Intended Uses: This sandwich kit is for the accurate quantitative detection of human Fibroblast Growth Factor-3 (also known as FGF-3) in serum, plasma, cell culture supernates, cell lysates, tissue homogenates.

Principles of the Assay: This kit is an Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA). The plate has been pre-coated with human FGF-3 antibody. FGF-3 present in the sample is added and binds to antibodies coated on the wells. And then biotinylated human FGF-3 Antibody is added and binds to FGF-3 in the sample. Then Streptavidin-HRP is added and binds to the Biotinylated FGF-3 antibody. After incubation unbound Streptavidin-HRP is washed away during a washing step. Substrate solution is then added and color develops in proportion to the amount of human FGF-3. The reaction is terminated by addition of acidic stop solution and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.
