Western Blot (WB) of anti-SLC5A2 antibody
Western blot analysis of extracts from 293 cells, using SLC5A2 antibody. The lane on the left is treated with the antigen-specific peptide.

Immunofluorescene (IF) of anti-SLC5A2 antibody
MBS9605970 staining 293 by IF/ICC. The sample were fixed with PFA and permeabilized in 0.1% Triton X-100, then blocked in 10% serum for 45 minutes at 25 degree C. The primary antibody was diluted at 1/200 and incubated with the sample for 1 hour at 37 degree C. An Alexa Fluor 594 conjugated goat anti-rabbit IgG (H+L) Ab, diluted at 1/600, was used as the secondary antibody.

NCBI Summary for SLC5A2
This gene encodes a member of the sodium glucose cotransporter family which are sodium-dependent glucose transport proteins. The encoded protein is the major cotransporter involved in glucose reabsorption in the kidney. Mutations in this gene are associated with renal glucosuria. Two transcript variants, one protein-coding and one not, have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Feb 2015]
UniProt Comments for SLC5A2
Sodium-dependent glucose transporter. Has a Na+ to glucose coupling ratio of 1:1.
Research Articles on SLC5A2
1. Data suggest expression of SGLT1 is markedly increased in kidney of patients with type 2 diabetes as compared to control subjects; SGLT1 mRNA is highly and significantly correlated with fasting and postprandial plasma glucose and HbA1c. In contrast, data suggest SGLT2 and GLUT2 mRNA in kidney are down-regulated in type 2 diabetes, but not to statistically significant level. (GLUT2 = glucose transporter type 2)
