Small volumes of anti-APRT antibody vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.
Related Product Information for
anti-APRT antibody
Description: Adenine phosphoribosyltransferase belongs to the purine/pyrimidine phosphoribosyltransferase family. A conserved feature of this gene is the distribution of CpG dinucleotides. This enzyme catalyzes the formation of AMP and inorganic pyrophosphate from adenine and 5-phosphoribosyl-1-pyrophosphate (PRPP). It also produces adenine as a by-product of the polyamine biosynthesis pathway. A homozygous deficiency in this enzyme causes 2, 8-dihydroxyadenine urolithiasis. Two transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene.
Function: Catalyzes a salvage reaction resulting in the formation of AMP, that is energically less costly than de novo synthesis.
Subunit Structure: Homodimer.
Similarity: Belongs to the purine/pyrimidine phosphoribosyltransferase family.
Applications Tested/Suitable for anti-APRT antibody
Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC), ELISA (EIA)
Application Notes for anti-APRT antibody
WB: 1:500-1:2000
IHC: 1:50-1:200
Immunohistochemistry (IHC) of anti-APRT antibody
MBS9607987 at 1/100 staining Human liver tissue by IHC-P. The sample was formaldehyde fixed and a heat mediated antigen retrieval step in citrate buffer was performed. The sample was then blocked and incubated with the antibody for 1.5 hours at 22 degree C. An HRP conjugated goat anti-rabbit antibody was used as the secondary.

Western Blot (WB) of anti-APRT antibody
Western blot analysis of Hela whole cell lysates, using APRT Antibody. The lane on the left is treated with the antigen-specific peptide.
