Product Note
Select online data sheet information is drawn from bioinformatics databases, occasionally resulting in ambiguous or non-relevant product information. It is the responsibility of the customer to review, verify, and evaluate the information to make sure it matches their requirements before purchasing the kit. Our ELISA Kit assays are dynamic research tools and sometimes they may be updated and improved. If the format of this assay is important to you then please request the current manual or contact our technical support team with a presales inquiry before placing an order. We will confirm the current details of the assay. We cannot guarantee the sample manual posted online is the most current manual.
Other Notes
Small volumes of DICER1 elisa kit vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.

MBS9425264 is a ready-to-use microwell, strip-or-full plate ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay) Kit for analyzing the presence of the Endoribonuclease Dicer (DICER1) ELISA Kit target analytes in biological samples. The concentration gradients of the kit standards or positive controls render a theoretical kit detection range in biological research samples containing DICER1. The ELISA analytical biochemical technique of the MBS9425264 kit is based on DICER1 antibody-DICER1 antigen interactions (immunosorbency) and an HRP colorimetric detection system to detect DICER1 antigen targets in samples. The ELISA Kit is designed to detect native, not recombinant, DICER1. Appropriate sample types may include undiluted body fluids and/or tissue homogenates, secretions. Quality control assays assessing reproducibility identified the intra-assay CV (%) and inter-assay CV(%).

NCBI Summary for DICER1
This gene encodes a protein possessing an RNA helicase motif containing a DEXH box in its amino terminus and an RNA motif in the carboxy terminus. The encoded protein functions as a ribonuclease and is required by the RNA interference and small temporal RNA (stRNA) pathways to produce the active small RNA component that represses gene expression. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants. [provided by RefSeq, Sep 2010]
UniProt Comments for DICER1
DICER1: a cytoplasmic type-III RNase that plays a central role in RNA interference (RNAi) pathways to produce the active small RNAs that represses gene expression. Possesses a DEAD box RNA helicase motif in its amino terminus and a dsRNA-binding motif in the carboxy terminus. Dicer, along with Ago2 andTRBP, are the main components of the RNA-induced silencing complex (RISC). Fragile X syndrome repeats form RNA hairpins that are cut by Dicer but do not activate the interferon-inducible protein kinase, PKR. Four alternatively spliced isoforms have been described.

Research Articles on DICER1
1. Emerging evidence demonstrates that Dicer's endonuclease role extends beyond the generation of small RNAs; it is also involved in processing additional endogenous and exogenous substrates and is becoming increasingly implicated in regulating a variety of other cellular processes including both antiviral and pro-viral functions.
