3D Structure
ModBase 3D Structure for P35579
Species Reactivity
Porcine
Specificity
This assay has high sensitivity and excellent specificity for detection of Porcine MYH9. No significant cross-reactivity or interference between Porcine MYH9 and analogues was observed. Note: Limited by current skills and knowledge, it is impossible for us to complete the cross- reactivity detection between Porcine MYH9 and all the analogues, therefore, cross reaction may still exist.

Product Note
Select online data sheet information is drawn from bioinformatics databases, occasionally resulting in ambiguous or non-relevant product information. It is the responsibility of the customer to review, verify, and evaluate the information to make sure it matches their requirements before purchasing the kit. Our ELISA Kit assays are dynamic research tools and sometimes they may be updated and improved. If the format of this assay is important to you then please request the current manual or contact our technical support team with a presales inquiry before placing an order. We will confirm the current details of the assay. We cannot guarantee the sample manual posted online is the most current manual.
Other Notes
Small volumes of MYH9 elisa kit vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.

MBS2512032 is a ready-to-use microwell, strip plate ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay) Kit for analyzing the presence of the MYH9, ELISA Kit target analytes in biological samples. The concentration gradients of the kit standards or positive controls render a theoretical kit detection range in biological research samples containing MYH9. The ELISA analytical biochemical technique of the MBS2512032 kit is based on MYH9 antibody-MYH9 antigen interactions (immunosorbency) and an HRP colorimetric detection system to detect MYH9 antigen targets in samples. The ELISA Kit is designed to detect native, not recombinant, MYH9. Appropriate sample types may include undiluted body fluids and/or tissue homogenates, secretions. Quality control assays assessing reproducibility identified the intra-assay CV (%) and inter-assay CV(%).

MYH9 elisa kit
Description: The kit is a sandwich enzyme immunoassay for in vitro quantitative measurement of MYH9 in Porcine serum, plasma and other biological fluids
Principle of the Assay: This ELISA kit uses Sandwich-ELISA as the method. The micro ELISA plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to Porcine MYH9. Standards or samples are added to the appropriate micro ELISA plate wells and bound by the specific antibody. Then a biotinylated detection antibody specific for Porcine MYH9 and Avidin-Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) conjugate is added to each micro plate well successively and incubated. Free components are washed away. The substrate solution is added to each well. Only those wells that contain Porcine MYH9, biotinylated detection antibody and Avidin-HRP conjugate will appear blue in color. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated by the addition of a sulphuric acid solution and the color turns yellow. The optical density (OD) is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450 nm +/- 2 nm. The OD value is proportional to the concentration of Porcine MYH9. You can calculate the concentration of Porcine MYH9 in the samples by comparing the OD of the samples to the standard curve.

NCBI Summary for MYH9
This gene encodes a conventional non-muscle myosin; this protein should not be confused with the unconventional myosin-9a or 9b (MYO9A or MYO9B). The encoded protein is a myosin IIA heavy chain that contains an IQ domain and a myosin head-like domain which is involved in several important functions, including cytokinesis, cell motility and maintenance of cell shape. Defects in this gene have been associated with non-syndromic sensorineural deafness autosomal dominant type 17, Epstein syndrome, Alport syndrome with macrothrombocytopenia, Sebastian syndrome, Fechtner syndrome and macrothrombocytopenia with progressive sensorineural deafness. UniProt Comments for MYH9
MYH9: Cellular myosin that appears to play a role in cytokinesis, cell shape, and specialized functions such as secretion and capping. Interacts with PDLIM2. Interacts with SLC6A4. Myosin is a hexameric protein that consists of 2 heavy chain subunits (MHC), 2 alkali light chain subunits (MLC) and 2 regulatory light chain subunits (MLC-2). Interacts with RASIP1. Interacts with DDR1. Interacts with SVIL and HTRA3. In the kidney, expressed in the glomeruli. Also expressed in leukocytes. 2 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.
